TAPS Clifford L. Ferris, 77, of Redding died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Redding. Arrangements are pending at McDonald's Redding Chapel (241-1626). Edward Martin, 72, passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2009. -Col. Martin was born on March 7, 1936 in Georgetown, Illinois, the son of Carl and Margarite Martin. Ed went on to serve in the U. S. Air Force for thirty years, mainly flying B-52s; His presence and love for life will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Mary Ann, daughter, Mandy (Darrel) Straham, Warner Robins; his son, Gary (LiAnne) Martin, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. GERARD LEIES - Dr. Gerard M. Leies, 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Cocoa Beach, Florida on Tuesday, December 2, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Bonnie; their children, David and Caroline; his step children, Danny and Cindy; and his granddaughter, Olivia. He retired after 20 years of service in the Air Force as a Colonel. Gerry was one our nation's first nuclear physicists and served as a long time Technical Director of the Air Force Technical Applications Center at Patrick Air Force Base. CMSGT Robert H. "Bob" Barkhaus, USAF (Retired), USAF, age 63, of Highland, IL., died Tuesday, November 11,2008, at his home in Highland, IL. He was born December 15, 1944, in Shawano, WI., the son of Louis R. and Hazel (nee Simon) Barkhaus. On April 7, 1966, he married Sherrie A. Barkhaus, (nee Zelke) , originally of Oshkosh, WI, who survives. Wes Efurd died suddenly Sunday, November 9th. Wes worked at the McClellan Lab in the 70s, then Los Alamos National Laboratory. If desired, contributions can be given to one's favorite charity or First Baptist Church in memory of Wes Efurd. MARION HAINES, Jr. PORT ST. JOHN Marion D. Haines, Jr., 59, died Friday, October 31, 2008, of pancreatic cancer. He was born January 22, 1949 in Louisville, KY, to Marion Delbert Haines and Bryna Singleton Haines. In 1969, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served 20 years in the Air Force Technical Applications Center. 2008.10.17 Email: Judy Milam notified us of Lt Col (Ret) Keys obituary in the 10.17 Floriday Today. Judy added: Lt Col Keys was the deputy to the Technical Director, Mr. Northrup, when we moved to FL in 1972, and was later moved to the Plans and Programs Directorate.
